Veterans Serving Veterans: The Plan for Success

One of our many veterans serving veterans at Harbor Care, Richard O’Donnell is a former Staff Sergeant, having served in the U.S Army from 1995 to 2007. He joined the Battle Staff and was an instructor at the Army Instructor School in Vilseck, Germany. Later, he held the position of Instructor at the Army Leadership School at Fort Knox in Leadership & Management Development. Now he is a case manager in Harbor Care’s Homeless Veteran Reintegration Program, where he helps homeless vets find employment.

Job Well Done: AmeriCorps at Harbor Care

The Harbor Homes Recovery Corps program began in December 2018 through an AmeriCorps grant aimed at aiding people in recovery from -- or struggling with -- substance use disorder. Since that time, the Recovery Corps was able to recruit a total of 36 members who served between 6-month and 1-year terms at 16 host sites that serve people in recovery throughout the state of New Hampshire.
